Protest
"Always bring your camera everywhere"Had class on Friday which was very productive. Then I hit the lab to submit and print some photos. Afterwards, meet up with Arthur and ran into Bladimir which we were both planning to take photos of the Apple store since people left their prayers and condolences for Steve Jobs. It's crazy how people left apples and sticky notes on the glass. Jobs really changed how we used technology. Then we decided to walk around and take photos and by our luck we ran into the Hyatt Hotel protest. First it was something small and we got a couple pictures. Then walked around again and by my luck, saw a bigger protest of people that stormed and took over the streets of San Francisco. If I didn't take a photo of the sunset hitting the street I probably wouldn't experience being a photojournalist for a day. Ran about half a block and started to cover the protest. The police actually were assiting the protesters, that way it wouldn't be as bad. Not all protest end the way you see on television or the internet. Overall, running around from main streets, capturing moments that I probably won't be able to photograph, and a few homies who share the same passion as you do was just memorable. This experience not only let me feel and experience what my future career is ahead of me but also making me strive even harder to be were I want to be in life.
