The day started off by getting some pho with Ryan and Mindy. Dropped off Ryan back at his place and headed out to the event. A good turn out, but as stated before in the previous entry, it had it's pros and cons. As a press photographer covering this event, I expected highly of this event, but I was wrong. For one, I expected a photo pit and none was given at all. There were set up photo pits, but none of us photographers can shoot in it even though it was enough space. If they would have let us use the photo pit, I honestly believe it could of been a lot better. I was upset overall about that situation leading me to have more crowd photos than artist photos. One of the cool things about being a press photographer was the security was pretty chill about me roaming the place with no problems.
Overall had a good time shooting and getting as much photos as possible. It's crazy how I listen to these music artist and the next thing you know, I'm photographing them. It's such a thrill and great experience. Saw new and familiar faces which was also great, you guys and gals know who you are. I honestly believe I need an all access pass rather than a press pass. Not only will I be able to take the best photographs possible, but also no one can give me a hard time. I did a fairly decent job and could of been better. I did the best I can under the time I was given running back and forth from stage to stage. Regardless of the pros and cons, I had a good time. On my behalf I want to thank Jerry R. of FKN FMS who I represented out there while shooting. Not only giving me the opportunity to shoot a pretty dope event, but without being apart of his team, I would of never covered this event. Thanks Ryan for letting me stay at your place and understanding the drive and commute. Shout out to Eric again for letting me use your 80-200mm for majority of the shots, really appreciate that.
Took over 1300+ images, but narrowed it down to 40+ Enjoy this small preview!
