Recent Pick Ups.

1994 Black & Red I's. 

The back story about this pair and why it means a lot to me. Back in 2007 I was able to obtain a pair of Black & Red I's from 1994 for a great price. Although the shoes didn't come with the original box, tissue or retro card, I was like many people who were just happy to have a pair. The condition wasn't the best. If I had to rate them it would be a 6 out of 10. In 2009, I sold them. Yeah I know big mistake. Why didn't I just keep them? MANY MANY MANY blog entries I explained why 2009 was one of my worst years and one reason was being unemployed. I sold them for cash to get me by. It was a rough year...

In 2011, I posted my sneaker collection for probably the second or third time. One of four goals I always wanted to complete being into shoes was to complete a 1994 - 1995 first Jordan retro set. During that time, I didn't see too many people have the set complete. Maybe it was because no one wanted to get rid of their pairs at the time or I was focused on buying certain shoes that I ignored that popped up for sale. Fast forward now, I can finally say I completed one out of four goals. To sum up my story in a nutshell, just because you're hunting down a certain shoe, have patience. The quote "patience is virtue" is universal. Just because you missed out on that one shoe, chances are depending how rare or limited it is, you'll eventually have another chance of getting it and probably getting a better deal than you did.
