As of yesterday the Bay Area got hit with a super strong storm. I didn't think it was that bad but it actually was. I had class yesterday and I decided to leave early thinking everything was going to be good but it wasn't. A lot of delays since I was taking Bart and a few stops that were closed due to floods and power outage. I come to find out that all schools expect mine, Academy of Art (AAU), were the only one open in San Francisco. When I got to class it was pretty dark. The fire alarms or whatever alarms were going off in the building I was in, the alarms were going off. I talk to one of the front desk and they said that they have been trying to contact students instructors but were having a difficult time due to the store. About 20 minutes later, my instructor shows up telling us class is canceled and that our final we will study for will be online. This was the second to last week were I just needed the materials to know what I was going to study for...well for my finals next week. This could of been avoided easily but things happened.

I was pretty much stuck and trying to figure out what to do so I decided to head to work really early. Keep in mind, it's 9 in the morning and I've been up since 5 in the morning. As I was heading to Bart, the weather got worse. Winds were picking up and since it was a power outage, a lot of street conductors had to direct traffic and roads blocked off due to some flooding. I wasn't downtown too long but every street was pretty dark. Got to work fine and it wasn't bad. Pretty chill. Work was cool and going home, everything was cool as well.

In other news, I recently got a new lens last week. Nikon's 105mm F/2.8 Micro AF-S! I mainly got this lens because I didn't have a macro lens since I sold my 60mm F/2.8 AF-D a while back so I've been trying to get a macro lens for quite some time. I did pretty much all real life test to far away distance shots to the main purpose, up close photographs. This lens is fast, sharp and pretty much dead on in terms of focusing. The main purpose is basically detail shots especially rings since I was having some what a difficult time when photographing rings. Other than that, I can finally take some interesting photographs of sneakers as well. Overall pretty happy with my purchase with the micro lens.
