Had work at Fully Laced on Monday. It was pretty chill. Huf released their annual yearly 420 collabo. This time around was with South Park which is cool since I enjoy watching that television show. Fully Laced also released a new colorway of lace locks. A very vibrant purple which looks super legit. Had to grab a pair.
On Tuesday, since I didn't have work at Bows and Arrow, decided to swing by Prstg in Alameda. My long time homie Knocka owns the store so it was really cool to check the stock room along with the store itself. The workers were chill. Overall cool spot and I ended up leaving with a few Nike SB's. Thanks again Knocka!
Last year, Jay Lawrence started a Kickstarter on helping him fund his idea of putting the first hardcover book that had Air Jordans 1 - 29. The idea and having Kickstarter started off slow but with help from major sites such as Sole Collector helped it really get started and reached his goal of $20,000. It was a major goal to achieve, but with the help of social media and many online blogs that had major foot traffic, not only was Lawrence able to achieve his goal, he was able to reach an outstanding of over $50,000 More than what he expected, he couldn't be any more happy and appreciated of those who helped him.
If you follow me on Instagram (@dunksrnice), I posted this book a few days ago. Today I was able to take photos of the book. It's over 500 pages filled with many information and photos of Air Jordans. the story of why Lawrence started this book along with the history of Jordans itself. I'm so proud to be apart of this book along with about close to 20 images on the cover and many more inside.
I always loved sneakers. Back in 2003, I got really serious and started collecting sneakers. I was obsessed and loved the so called "Shoe Game". Fast forward to 2015, and here I am talking about myself being apart of something special in my eyes. I never imaged I would be able to say I'm apart of this Air Jordan Encyclopedia book. Coming from someone who loves shoes, hunting, finding, and acquiring your grails is still to this day, is something I always enjoyed about it.

The term F.L.O.M (For Love Or Money) has always been a topic among many sneaker enthusiasts. To me, money was something in your possession for a certain period of time before it goes to the next person regardless if you were saving for something or for someone. Although money is nice to have, it never had the same feelings as obtaining a certain shoe you've been hunting for or obtaining that grail you have always wanted. So even after 10 years (12 years to be exact), I still love sneakers and still have that same love after all these years. Thanks again Lawrence for having me be apart of something you hold close to your heart.
