START. Rant. Thoughts. Where I am. How I feel.

Although I'm late, Spring is here officially!

My apologizes for almost two weeks without an update. Yikes! That's not like me. Here's an update on what going on in my life. Two main reasons why I haven't blogged in about two weeks. One, it was midterms week for me from March 14th through March 17th. That same weekend which is March 18th, 19th, and 20th I was working at RIF.SF. I was literally exhausted. Everyday that week I only had any where from two to six hours of sleep and if I got six hours at most, I would of been happy. My main focus was to pass all my classes. That was it. I had so many deadlines, tests, online submissions and presentations. Not to mention I was doing video content for the vlog and constantly pushing out vlog after vlog.

I didn't have to but I really wanted to test myself especially the endurance both physically and mentally. I literally planned out what needed to be done by prioritizing everything up until today (Friday, March 25th). If everything went accordingly to plan, I would be okay. Not good. Not great. Just okay and that was fine for me. After working that weekend which I could of blogged and vlogged (Which I didn't) I had to pack because coming Monday (March 21st) I left to go to Seattle for a few days and didn't come back until yesterday, March 24th. I feel like I've just been on auto pilot so the last night at Seattle, I said eff it, I'm going to turn up, drink, and have a ball because I don't drink as much as I use to.

Here's my thoughts on why I feel a certain way on traveling. I feel as if it should only be earned, and not just because. I know many people don't feel this way. When 2010 began, I always told myself that if I were to travel any where, I should only go if I have worked my ass off. Plain and simple. If I didn't, I didn't go no matter how much peer pressure I felt from friends and family members. Till this day, I still feel the same way and it's been more than five years but it's slowly changing for the good. So once a year, I would sit down with Mindy, discuss where we would go and travel. Only one time. When the next year comes, we would do the same. It was a habit and a work ethic of mine. If you travel, always ask yourself, do you deserve this, and if so why? The only conditions were if it was for a job, paid, or a reasoning were you had to.

What I mean by this was I would work and never really take a day off and went he time came, go on vacation, travel some where because you deserved it. You worked your ass off so much. Others that I see it, do ti in reverse. So I decided to change it up starting 2016. Each month, I wanted to travel whether it be a few hours away or some where far. I guess the word I'm looking for is "spontaneous?" December I was in Yosemite, January I was in Japan and now recently coming back from Seattle this month. All amazing and have so many memories to look back on. As April comes around the corner, my wedding photography business this year has growing and I'm taking as many opportunities of doing destination weddings because not only does it give me the opportunity to travel, make memories for loved ones, but it's something I would of never imagined. Now that I'm doing video/vlogging, I wanna go revisit a lot of places and have that visual and audio perspective.

I recently went back and checked my early blog posts on this blog and man... I've grown, matured, and learned a lot. This was going back to 2007 where photography wasn't even a choice as a career or doing something to where I am as of today. It's surreal to me. This is another reason why I never stopped blogging because it became like a book to me to go back and see how it's changed myself. So for those that sticked and supported me since day one. You know my intentions and the history of who I really am and how it started. To see where I am today, I know I haven't changed because change can be good and bad at the same time. Hidden blessings and opportunities that are unseen. I only changed for the better to grow, mature and best of all learn.
