San Diego, Day 1
Greetings from San Diego! This is actually me & Mindys first trip that were taking through a plane and not driving. Not only that, our first trip with just us rather then friends and family so it's nice for a change. Mindy never actually flew in an airplane so this was her first time, but I had to get the window seat for obvious reasons even though Mindy wanted it. Mindy sat in the middle so she still had a good view. I haven't been in San Diego in about 10 years? It's really been a long time. Probably the last time I have been down here was for a family trip since I have family down here. After getting situated with our luggage, we met up with my cousin Karen since she lives here in San Diego. Waited for Jamal to pick us up who is Karen's husband, really funny and nice guy. Since both of them are serving our country, Jamal is stationed down here while he plays basketball for college. Karen as well is staying here since shes in the reserved. For the most part we rested until the traffic some what settled down since Socal traffic is horrible. Afterwards we headed to Miramar which is a military base. Got a few things here and there. After that, we went to get some food since we didn't eat all day. I was told that carne asada fries around here are thee best, and I must say they are. A def must try. Afterwards, headed to Walmart since Karen needed to buy this wireless connection for her computer since their was no wifi at the house. Chilled, ate, played 360 games, and watched 90's Nick Toon on t.v. Very relaxing day.
