What a long, hot, and fun filled day it was. Started my day by running a few errands. After running a few errands, Mindy and me decided to buy some Lunchables from Target as a snack. Ran into Eric and talked for a bit. Ate in the car and headed out to San Francisco to stop by Teaway in the Marina District since they were using my photo as an ad/banner without permission. I talked to Jeanie/Geanie (Probably spelled her name wrong) who was the supervisor and called her boss. He didn't pick up after calling twice. I left my information on a small piece of paper. She understood my point of view so I'm going to keep an eye out. Personally I just wanted the banner down or credited for it regardless if it was paid. A cease and decease was what I personally wanted. As long as it was down from being used as promotion or advertisement, I was fine unless credit is given to its full extent.Afterwards, headed out to San Mateo Expo since the event was being held there. I got there early and checked in with no problems. I expected the place to be bigger, but it was smaller than expected. Chilled for a bit with Mindy on the side of the stage and the event ran about thirty minutes late. Besides the event starting late, I met some new faces and shooting was better than expected since I was free to do what I want as long as I get the shot. I wish more events we more open minded to photographers, it would help get that shot we all tend to go for. Running around back and forth seemed to be somewhat a hassle, but I decided to stay in front of the stage for the most part and I believe I got some good photographs. Right at the end, my memory card was filled up. Being that I don't have a extra memory card and shooting with an 8gb didn't cut it even after photographing 700 plus images. Looks like I need to invest into a bigger memory card. All in all a great long day and can't wait for another dance event. Thanks to Phil for giving me some tips and of course Jerry R. who got me this event in the first place, appreciated very much.
